Build a Computer Game with Scratch – Level 1
This is a great introduction to programming using MIT Scratch – a visual programming language. It is suitable for all ages from 7 up – and especially good for kids who completed Junior Coderdojo last term. Term 2 will follow with 4 weeks of Scratch Level 2. Time 2pm
Build 3D Models with Sketchup
This is a very popular class that teaches how to use the Sketchup CAD tool to create 3D models of real world items. Again suitable for kids of all ages. Term 2 will follow with 4 weeks of Advanced 3d Modelling with Sketchup. Time 4pm
MIT App Inventor
This is a 4 week pilot introduction to using MIT App Inventor to build apps for Android phones. You don’t need an Android phone to learn how this works – but if you have one you can test the apps on the phone rather than on your PC! Suitable for kids 11+. Time 2pm
Processing is a cool graphics/visual arts programming language and toolset. See more at https://processing.org/overview/. The site humorously claims that “Processing seeks to ruin the careers of talented designers by tempting them away from their usual tools and into the world of programming and computation. Similarly, the project is designed to turn engineers and computer scientists to less gainful employment as artists and designers.”
Wednesday evening (Starting 30th September 7.00pm )
White Hat Hacking
Last year’s course has been revamped and re-invented – suitable for first-timers and repeat attendees: This class takes place in St Kevins School on a Wednesday evening at 7pm.

Coderdojo Greystones is 100% volunteer led and is free to kids attending. We do need funds to purchase things like completion certificates, power leads and sundries so all donations are gratefully accepted. We have a Paypal Donate button on our website http://coderdojogreystones.com
if you feel you can help.
Lack of a laptop should not stop any child participating.
So stay tuned, keep an eye on your inbox, and see you all soon!
