FAQ

I’ve joined your mailing list, how do I attend a session?
To attend a session you must have a ticket for that session. All tickets are issued through eventbrite. We will email our mailing list to let you know when the tickets will become available for each session. Tickets go fast, so be sure to check for emails regularly.
I’m on the waitlist, what does that mean?
Once all tickets are claimed, then we open a short waitlist. If for some reason anyone who has claimed a ticket needs to cancel, then we will offer that ticket to the person next in line on the waitlist.
I have a ticket for a session, but the class runs for 4 weeks. Do I need a new ticket for each class?
No. Your ticket is valid for the entire session, all 4 classes. But please let us know if for any reason you are not able to attend all classes as we may be able to offer that place to someone else.
I didn’t get the email in time and now all the tickets are gone, what do I do?
Unfortunately we cannot issue any new tickets. The Greystones CoderDojo has been extremely popular, so the only fair way is to let everyone know in advance when tickets will be issued and then claim them on a first come first served basis. If we continue to get this high level of demand, and there are sufficent volunteers we will look to run additional sessions.
What age children is the course run for?
Children on the course need to be able to read and use a keyboard proficiently. We recommend that the course is best suitable for children between the ages of 8 and 16.
